A student came to Wudang to train with me for 20 days in Feb 2016.  She took these pictures of the food that the students ate everyday. Each meal was for 7 people. The meals included lots of vegetable dishes for the two vegans in the group as well as meat or fish dishes for those who ate meat. The last three photos show us teaching the students how to make dumplings.

Wudang Daoist Whisk(FuChen) Seminar in Sebastopol, Dec 13,14, 2014

"I think the seminar was a success, despite the small turnout. The Fu Chen is a rare weapon, traditionally reserved for adepts, so it was a grand opportunity to learn it. It’s a pity that more people didn’t know what a great chance this was. 

The whisk works different muscles than I’m used to using, so it’s good exercise in that sense. But more than that, I’ve discovered that the air resistance increases the more strength one uses—unless one uses it correctly—so it’s interesting that it’s a “self-teaching” weapon.
