"I think the seminar was a success, despite the small turnout. The Fu Chen is a rare weapon, traditionally reserved for adepts, so it was a grand opportunity to learn it. It’s a pity that more people didn’t know what a great chance this was.
The whisk works different muscles than I’m used to using, so it’s good exercise in that sense. But more than that, I’ve discovered that the air resistance increases the more strength one uses—unless one uses it correctly—so it’s interesting that it’s a “self-teaching” weapon. The snapping movements should also help to develop timing and the issuing of force. " ------------Deng Ming-Dao, SanFrancisco
